Crocheted baby hat - the take-along version
This is the crocheted baby hat from the previous post, but here is a condensed version of the instructions so you can print them out and take them along with you on your summer road trips, to the doctor's office, the ball field, the pool, the beach, wherever you will be spending time and still want to keep your hands busy. Once you have made a few, you won't even need to look at the pattern anymore. It's THAT easy!
Use sportweight yarn and size G crochet hook. If you want a smaller or bigger hat, use either baby yarn or worsted weight yarn and the appropriate size hook.
NOTE: Beg ch 2 does not count as a st in this pattern.
Beginning at top of hat, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring.
Round 1: Ch 2, work 13 dc in ring, join with a sl st in first dc. 13 sts.
Round 2: Ch 2, do not turn, 2 dc in each st around, join with sl st in first dc. 26 sts.

thanks for posting this. I was in the hunt for a nice simple infant hat that I could make several of and then donate to our local hospital's birthplace. I found the photos very helpful as I was able to get a sense for the hat as it was being made :)

Tutu, thanks for writing. If you look at the last picture in this post, you will see the hat shown with a tape measure along side it. I hope this helps.
