Ahh Vacation ~ Summertime Giveaway!
Summertime Giveaway is now closed. Thanks to all who entered! Winner will be announced shortly, so stay tuned!
My goodness but it's been a long time since my last visit here at Hooked On Needles! Has anybody missed me? Uh, don't answer that!
It's been a busy summer here starting with our family vacation up north to New Hampshire. This is what my view looked like every morning...

I've also been busy making things for a charity vendor fair at which I will be having a table later in September. One of those items is the rainbow quilt I started before our vacation and just pulled out of the dryer yesterday afternoon. Can't wait to show that to you too, but I must wait for a good picture taking day.
During this time, my sewing machine was sent away for a little over two weeks but not because it was being bad. On the contrary, I sent it away for a nice spa treatment because I had worked it so hard for the past several years that I thought it deserved a little TLC! The timing was perfect too because I was away for the week of vacation, and then the following week I was spending all day at cub scout camp while my son was there. I did not stay with him and his cub friends doing all their activities though. I spent my days working in the Trading Post, selling all the little scouts their daily rations of sugar and junk! Oh what fun! So that was two weeks when I had no time for my machine anyway. I think it appreciated the vacation too, because it came back as good as new and ready to get back to work! I have a few ideas stewing in my head that I will be using my machine to make, so I'm excited about getting back to work too!
This summer, I have been spending my evening time with delicious variegated and solid balls of cotton, making scrumptious wash/dish cloth bundles for the aforementioned vendor fair and my Etsy shop. But it's been far too long since I've had a giveaway here, and I think everyone should have a nice set of cotton wash cloths in colors of their choice. So...
You can follow me here at Hooked On Needles or on Twitter, or friend me on facebook, or share this giveaway with your friends if you like, but still only one entry per person!
Make sure I can contact you through email or through your blog. If I cannot, I will draw another name.
Giveaway closes August 21st and the winner will be announced and contacted after that.
Good luck to everyone, and enjoy what remains of your summer!
Happy Stitching!

I love handmade washclothes, they wash dishes so much better than store bought ones, even better than the scrubby sponges. I love blue for my kitchen.

I really like the blue set you made, especially that one on top. If I had a choice of any color though I'd probably pick all black. That way I never have to worry about stains when I'm taking off makeup.
