I am working on the cutest little knitting project right now and it requires a couple of techniques that I thought would be helpful to share with you. If you are just learning how to knit, or if you have trouble figuring out an instruction by just reading the directions, then you might benefit from some of my knitting videos.

There are several ways to increase in knitting. I've already shown you the very easiest way which is the Yarn Over Increase. I also showed you how to increase by knitting into the front and back of the stitch.
This video shows yet another increase method in knitting called Make 1. This method is good to use when you don't want a hole left in your work where the increase was made, like what you get with the Yarn Over Increase.

Hey Mary Grace, Thanks for the video on Making One (M1). I think I'll use that stitch to fix my scarf. I'll tell you why I started this project. My sister showed me how to knit a long time ago and I never persued it beyond the intch long piece I did while she was sitting there. Then she told me she used a kit to learn and to just go get it and try it. Well, I did go get it, but it sat in my drawer for about five years. A couple weeks ago I was shopping for party supplies at a local dollar store and I saw these skeins of yarn that said you could make a beginner scarf with just the knit stitch. So I bought them and started it. Since then I dropped one stitch and that didn't really bother me, so I kept going. Well, I counted again and have dropped another stitch and so I stopped the project. Now I'll pick it up again and see if I can sneak a couple stitches in. Then I'll count more frequently!
