I'm Published! ~ Crocheted Basket Weave Stitch
I am just beside myself with excitement today after picking up the newest issue of Crochet Today magazine. It holds my very first official honest-to-goodness published article, and wouldn't you know it's about one of my very favorite crochet stitches! No more blabber...I can't wait to share it with you...
This is the September/October 2012 issue of Crochet Today which hit the news stands yesterday. I got my copy at my local Joann Fabrics.
Check out the table of contents there for page 90. Are you brave enough for Basket Weave Stitch? Of course you are!
And there it is! My very own words, all about Basket Weave Stitch! My own name and even my website are prominently displayed! This is just so exciting, I almost can't stand it! The written tutorial is even all in my own words, and the samples photographed for it are also my own work, although the way they were photographed doesn't quite work for helping to explain the stitch. Maybe the photographer needs a crochet lesson or two! But have no fear! If you are looking for visual help on this stitch, you can always check out my video tutorial and I'll just explain it to you in person! Click HERE to get to my video tutorial for Basket Weave Stitch.
Just look how pretty this stitch works up in that soft blue. It's one of those stitches that looks hard, but once you see how it's done, you just whack yourself on the head and say something intelligent like "Well of course!" and then you make yourself a full size afghan!
So go for it! Crochet yourself something in Basket Weave Stitch!
Happy Stitching!
