Little 9-Patch blocks ready to go
When a friend asks for help, it's nice to be able to pitch in and do what you can. The other day I shared with you a call for help from Lyn in Australia which you can read about HERE.
I spent some time in my sewing room this morning and was able to whip up four little 9-patch blocks using charm squares leftover from this awesome tote bag I made recently. The colors were just what Lyn asked for and the prints are soft and sweet. The size was perfect too. All I had to do was cut the charms into quarters to get the 2 1/2 inch squares needed to make the block.
So this little package of blocks will be on its way far far away to Australia this afternoon. I hope the quilt that Lyn will make with these blocks and others from around the world will bring some hope and comfort to her friend Illene.
Coming up next will be that video showing how to do the crocheted basket weave stitch that I have been promising for a while! It's so easy and makes such a cozy crocheted fabric for a scarf, blanket, afghan or whatever you want to make, so don't miss it!
Happy Stitching!

Hi, I made 3 for Lyn and sent them off the other day. It's a great project, glad you are getting the information out on it, hope she gets many more. Your blocks look beautiful! Sharon.
