Crocheted Skinny Scarf for Grace

So here's the other item I crocheted for Grace to go with her mittens, which I shared with you HERE just recently. There was enough yarn leftover after knitting the mittens to whip up this little skinny scarf...

Crocheted Skinny Scarf for GraceIt's just long enough to wrap around her neck and tie once leaving about 8 inches on each end hanging down. Not enough to be too bulky under her jacket and just enough to keep her warm and cozy!

Crocheted Skinny Scarf for GraceThe stitch I used for this skinny scarf is one of my favorites for quick and easy crochet, the woven stitch. You can view my video tutorial of that stitch HERE. Instead of using single crochet as shown in the video, I used half double crochet. My beginning chain was very small, maybe 13 or 14 stitches, so this little scarf worked up in about an hour and used up every last inch of this skein of yarn.

The crochet project I am working on now also uses this woven stitch and is another project to use up leftover yarn. I'll show it to you shortly if I can take it off my lap long enough to get a picture! It's very cozy on these cold winter nights!

Next up will be a picture tutorial on how to make these easy seat cushions. See you then!

Happy Stitching!

I am working on a scarf right now, that will be tucked away as a Christmas present. :o) It is the 2nd one I have ever done.
    Sincerely, Trish
