700 Likes on Facebook! ~ Time for a Giveaway!

This giveaway is now closed.
Fiesta and Jeanna are the winners! Congratulations!

To quote 1985 Oscar winner Sally Field, "You like me!" Well at least 701 facebook users clicked the Like button on the Hooked On Needles facebook page! So I think it's time we have ourselves a little giveaway here. What do you think?

It's going to be easy peasy. Here are the rules:

Leave a comment on this blog post telling me what craft, crochet, knit, quilt, sewing, remodel, renovation, refurbish, or any other kind of handy project you are working on this summer. If you have written a blog post about it or have Flickr pictures to share, please include a link so I can come and check it out. I love to see what other people are working on!

One entry per person, and only US mailing addresses are eligible. So sorry to my international friends, but the cost of international postage has just gotten too high. I know you understand.

Giveaway will close in about seven days, or when I get around to it. It is summer after all, and we are very much on a lazy summer schedule here at our house. No pressure, no hurry, no stress. That works as long as I don't look at the calendar and see that school starts in less than a month! Yikes!

Want to know what you might win? I will send one lucky winner a set of three of my hand crocheted cotton washcloths which you can see a sampling of HERE. I will send another lucky winner one of my reversible aprons, which you can see a sampling of HERE. The exact items in the pictures may not still be available, so please allow me to choose for you.

If you have a preference for washcloths or apron, please mention that in your comment too. If you win, I want you to receive something you will like and use!

So that's it, easy peasy. I'd love it if you share this giveaway with your social networking friends, but you don't have to. And I'd also love it if you follow Hooked On Needles through your favorite Blog Following Thingy and on facebook and twitter and pinterest, but you don't have to. See, no pressure and no stress!

Now go enjoy another sip of lemonade by the pool and relish these lazy days of summer!

Happy Stitching!

  • Sadly, I haven't been working on much this summer. A couple of hats (crochet) and very little mending on the sewing machine. Having 2 four year olds and a two year old is so busy! When the 4 year olds go back to school I'd love to get back on track.

    Loving the aprons :)

  • I am happy to be one of those 700 who like you!!! You know I love your blog and all your projects and patterns. I have been working on UFO's this summer - trying to finish up some crochet and sewing projects. I would love a chance to win an apron - I love aprons - always remind me of my grandmother who always wore an apron. The only times I remember her without her apron was at Sunday morning church service!

  • MGM
I look forward to your email ever since I found you when I was looking for an apron pattern around the net. I've made two sweaters for my grand baby. One knit and one crochet. Right now I'm working on a ladies peasant dress from the seventies in crochet. You can see the baby sweater here. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10201110239669503&set=a.1701847957413.2089319.1574374436&type=1&theater
    I like everything you do.
    Thanks Sonja

I don't have any pics to show as I never think about it. Also, I don't have facebook anymore. Thanks for a wonderful blog.

  • Hello MGM, I'm soooo excited and almost obsessing about this quilt pattern I have just drawn. It's a Celtic knot. Now I need to go find the fabric for it. And I just bought a new skein of yarn over at WEBS on my way to visit my sister in MA. It is so beautiful, but the hat I wanted to make calls for a different size yarn, just like my sister warned. BUT I have decided to make a cowl for me with the yarn. It's so beautiful! The yarn, that is. Wanna see it?!

  • We moved last year...I picked the wrong room for my sewing room, I am now in the process of switching the rooms and can't wait to get it done. All while working full time plus 2 friends of mine and I made a full size bed quilt for our Relay For Life event. We started it 4 weeks before the event and finished it the night before we had to walk all night in the Relay. It's been a busy summer

  • Hi! I am working on a couple of things at the moment. A sunburst afghan for our grandbaby and a pine tree quilted wall hanging. I have gotten out of the quilting loop so to speak so this will hopefully work me back in gently lol. Thank you for your posts! anne

  • I am making 2 baby sweaters for my new granddaughter. Unfortunately she made it here before they were done!
I really enjoy reading your blog.

  • Thanks for asking about my summer project ... nobody seems interested in my work this summer!

An artist friend gave me a big painting for the livingroom in my new home and asked for a counted cross-stitch in exchange.

Years ago, three co-workers and I bought kits called "Magic in Motion". It's perfect for my friend and makes me happy to finally stitch it for someone who will appreciate it!

Sorry to ramble on so long, but I read your blog and think of you as a buddy. I enjoy reading about your adventures and creative endeavors.

It would be great if I could win a gift made by my blog buddy!

  • I've been working on a couple of different quilts. One's an epp that's slowly coming along & the other just needs binding. http://www.flickr.com/photos/55964811@N03/9528029912/

Thank you for the giveaway! I really love your washcloths.
