More Zippered Accessory Bags

Sewing cute little zippered accessory bags is quite fun and I might even classify it as addicting! These little bags can be made with any dimensions for height, width and depth, depending on the size fabric scraps and the zipper that you have available. Since I started making these useful little bags, I have realized that even the smallest scrap of fabric that I would have thrown away before is now a little treasure to save and make part of a future useful little zipper bag!

These two I'm showing today were made from some leftover yardage of fabrics that I purchased at a quilt shop in Pennsylvania while visiting my sister a few years ago. But there are some scraps left even after making these bags that will undoubtedly end up in other little bags in the future! Take a look...

More Zippered Accessory BagsAren't these just the cutest? They scream SPRING! Those flowers are so cheerful and the colors just so delicious!

More Zippered Accessory BagsThe lining fabric even matches! Happy little zipper bags, don't you think? These will find their way over to my Etsy shop with all the other little zipper bags, so if you like them, you can visit them there and ask them to come to your house with a few easy clicks!

This weekend I spent some time in the sewing room making aprons. Do you use an apron when you cook or bake? I almost always do. I think it's important to keep the food off my clothing and to keep whatever is on my clothing off the food. Having more than one apron is important too, since they do require frequent washing to avoid cross-contamination and general spreading of icky stuff around the kitchen! Pictures will be coming soon!

Did you have a productive weekend?

Happy Stitching!

  • Those bags are just tooooo cute! I almost never wear an apron, but I know I should. I do have a matching apron set to sew for my DD and DGD, but not for moi. I have several, but gave up wearing them after seeing how cute they look on my daughter and how bad they look on me.

Not much of a productive weekend, sewing wise, but am posting about it as we write.
