Bernat Leftover Yarn Blanket

My first finish of 2011 is complete and it's only the third day of the year! I feel like I'm off to a good start! Today the afghan I made for the Bernat Mystery Afghan Crochet-along is all wrapped in pretty wedding paper and will be in the mail and on its way to the newlyweds. I sure hope they like it!

With the yarn leftover from this project, I decided to use my favorite crochet design (similar to this one only square) for leftover yarn and make this cozy little lap blanket...

It measures about 31 inches square...

...and would make a wonderfully cozy little blanket for in a stroller...

or car seat...

...or for someone in a wheelchair to keep their legs warm...

...or in a crib to keep a new little baby nice and warm.

You can check it out over in my Etsy shop if you like it!

My next finish should be two more little I Spy quilts that still need their binding. I'd like to get those done once and for all so I can move on to more projects to use up my stash and keep my creative juices flowing! I'm anticipating a good year! I hope you are too!

Happy Stitching!
